The Top Five Eye-Makeup Goofs And How To Avoid Them
As with blush, too much eye color in the wrong place can end up detracting from your appearance
rather than enhancing your looks.  Here’s how to sidestep the biggest eye-makeup mishaps.

Maxed-out mascara.  Stiff, clumpy lashes are less than alluring.  So don’t use more than two or
three coats of mascara, and use an eyelash comb between applications.

Overdone eyeliner.  Using too much eyeliner or not applying it neatly looks hard or- worse – tacky.
If you notice it, you’re wearing too much.

Raccoon eyes.  Using mascara on your lower lashes and lining your lower lids can accentuate
bags, dark circles, lines and puffiness.  Keep the focus on your upper lids.

Stretching delicate skin.  Closing one eye or stretching your lids when you apply eyeliner or
shadow can distort your makeup’s appearance when you let go.  Look straight ahead with open
    eyes.

Hurried application.  Slapdash shadow, wandering liner, mascara that speckles your
cheeks…yuck.  Don’t sell your look short.  Perfectly applied and blended makeup is the mark of a
    woman who’s really pulled together.
