Do Not Miss These Secrets Of Eyeliner
Although Cleopatra’s extended-to-the-ears eyeliner was a little extreme, she understood its
cosmetic value: Eyeliner shapes and enhances your eyes by making your lashes appear thicker.

While eyeliner comes in pencil, liquid and cake form (which requires a brush and water to apply),
liquid eyeliners don’t stretch or pull your lids like eye pencils can and are more convenient than
cake eyeliner.  If you prefer eye pencils, though, try eyeliner pens, which offer pencil-point
    precision in a flowing formula.

Lining up with color.  The color of your liner should be as deep as the color of your lashes and
brows.  So if you’re a fair-skinned blonde, steer clear of black, brown and navy liners and choose
a rich violet or deep blue instead.  And every woman – even blondes – can wear a deep khaki
green, smoky gray or smoky blue.

Wobble-free lining tips.  Can’t draw a straight line? Don’t worry; with practice, you’ll straighten out
your act.  In the meantime, consider using eyeliner pencils, which are easier to control than liquid
or cake liner.  Or steady your shaky fingers by steadying your elbow on a flat surface and
anchoring it firmly with your other hand.  You can also cheat by applying liquid liner in dots along
the roots of your lashes rather than trying for a thin, perfect line.

Whichever liner formula you choose, apply it as close to the roots of your lashes as you can.  Aim
for a thin line, not a thick stripe, and use a cotton swab to soften a heavy application.

You can give your eyes added definition by lining your lower lids, but beware: undereye liner can
emphasize dark circles, puffiness, bags and wrinkles.
